Time sure does fly.
It feels like just last week that Elayne was arriving in Williamstown, starting to learn the job, and immediately involved in supervising a number of summer interns.
Over the past nine months, not only has Elayne seriously upped the ZC’s communications game, deftly coordinated the Eco-Advisor programming, and handled crazy scheduling challenges without missing a beat, but she has also played an critical role in Root, the ZC summer and academic year internship programs, Winter Blitz, the Green Office program pilot, education and management of the Environmental Center.

As often happens at a college, great people arrive, contribute, (hopefully) learn a lot, and then move on to tackle new challenges. We know that people we hire in the Sustainability Coordinator role will be here for just a year or two, but it doesn’t make it any easier when they decide to go.
So needless to say -at this point- but Elayne will be taking her talents elsewhere come the beginning of the summer. We’re glad that she will be with us for the next few months – continuing to help us move campus sustainability initiatives forward as well as guiding and supporting students through their sustainability efforts.
The Sustainability Coordinator job opening is currently up on the HR website.
