GenCo Pilot Program Update

In the first month of the GenCo Zero Waste Hygiene Equity program at Mission Park, more than 600 students refilled laundry detergent sheets!

Of 15 participating schools, Williams was the fastest school to refill 4,000 detergent sheets!  Williams College smashed the previous record of 29 days, set by Rice University, achieving carbon parity to Tide Pods in just 17 days. This record utilization caused unprecedented disruption to service as the refill station was reported empty on 17 of the first 30 days!

Later this fall, students will be able to sign up for a free account to access their laundry detergent refills from the refill station.

How to Set Up Your Free Account

Step 1: On or around October 16th, students can set up their account by scanning a QR code on the kiosk or by visiting this link

Step 2: Students will select their school, scent option and finalize their account creation using their school email and cell phone number.

Step 3: The student will set a custom 4 digit pin code.

Step 4: Upon checkout, students will be asked to fill in a form including both required and optional information. This data will only be used by the Zilkha Center to determine the need to expand access to zero waste refill stations on campus.

Step 5: Students will receive an SMS confirmation with their 4 digit code.

How to Use Your Account: Students can proceed to the kiosk, input their phone number and unique 4 digit code to begin dispensing their refills!
