Welcoming Caroline, our new Sustainability Coordinator!

Please help us welcome the Zilkha Center’s new Sustainability Coordinator Caroline Bruno!

Caroline coordinates and manages much of the ZC’s student-facing work including the Eco-Advisors, Academic Year Interns, Summer Interns, and the ZC side of the ZC-DC Root collaboration.
Caroline, an alum of the class of 2015, is excited to return to Williams to connect with students on sustainability projects and facilitate positive change within the college community.  While she was a student, she was involved with Williams Environmental Council and Divest Williams, and is now looking forward to coordinating sustainability efforts across disciplines.  Since graduating, Caroline ran a campaign office and aided recruitment for a national environmental non-profit, and built an off-grid tiny house in the Hawaiian jungle.  She likes long brainstorming sessions with lots of complicated diagrams and isn’t afraid of getting into the weeds (in the garden or to address the complexity inherent to climate justice).  When she isn’t thinking about the intersectional problems associated with climate change, you can find Caroline hiking, petting bunnies, or upside down while practicing AcroYoga.

Stop by this summer to say hi, or if you’re not on campus, be sure to come by the Envi Center for our Welcome Bash to meet her.
