On September 16th, students, faculty, and community members came together to enjoy the first Log Lunch of the year! Over 150 people lined up down Spring Street, hoping to enjoy a delicious meal of fajita veggies, black beans, pico de gallo, and esquites. The Log Lunch team got lettuce, onions, black beans and bell peppers from Bigfoot Farms, tomatoes from Peace Valley, and sweet corn from Nick Chenail. Faculty members from the Environmental Studies Program, student groups, and the log lunch team introduced themselves, setting the stage for an exciting year of learning and community-building to come.
Log Lunch is a CES program hosted every Friday at noon. During Log Lunch, a vegetarian meal prepared by Williams students is served, followed by a talk on an environmental topic. Speakers are drawn from both the student body and faculty of Williams, as well as from local, national, and international organizations. Learn more here.
